Hundreds of Rhinos Have Been Exported out of South Africa - Where are They Now?


White rhinos have found new homes in zoos across the world, but the lack of follow-up inspections means that there is no way of ensuring their continued well-being.

In a statement to Independent Online, Chief director of communication for the DEA, Abid Modise, admitted that the responsibility of follow-up checks rests with the receiving country - and he encourages the public to speak up if they come across inadequate facilities.
